Meet Luca

Sometimes, you know from the very first phone call. Luca Skupin and ciao spada felt like a natural fit from the start. We’re excited to work with such a versatile artist, moving between acting, visual art, dance, choreography, drag and modelling.

Born in Wiesbaden in 1996 and raised in Spain and the Ruhr area, Luca trained at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich from 2019 to 2023. Before turning to acting, they pursued visual art, exhibiting in Finland and Italy and repeatedly receiving special prizes at the European Youth Art Exhibition. Their background also includes contemporary dance at Folkwang and voguing in the ballroom scene, which led to an invitation to Tanztreffen der Jugend in Berlin.

Since then, Luca has worked across theatre, film and the independent scene, with credits including Freischwimmer, which received awards and nominations at Palm Springs ShortFest and the San Sebastián International Film Festival. They also work as a choreographer, director and voice actor.
