Meet Jil

Jil Devresse trained at the ETI Schauspielschule Berlin and moves fluently between stage and screen. She speaks Luxembourgish, French and German at native level. She’s known for the roles of Jenny and Tanja Engel in the RTL/Netflix series Capitani, and has performed at Théâtre du Centaure, Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, Staatstheater Mainz and Kasemattentheater, among others. Recent and upcoming film work includes the Luxembourgish features Land am Schied and Äppel & Bieren, and the feature E lëtzebuerger Mann, currently in development.

What makes her stand out is the range: a direct, cheeky kind of playing, but just as capable of quiet, understated tones. It’s in that contrast that she’s truly at her best.

On the studio side, Jil takes the lead in Wie Schmerz geht, ciao spada’s very first theatre production, directed by Luc Spada. That makes us all the more happy to have her on the talent side too.
