Meet Sarah

Sarah and Luc, founder of ciao spada, have crossed paths for years. Now was the right moment to finally start working together again, and we’re glad to have her on board.

Sarah Grunert was born in Luxembourg, raised in Berlin and trained at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich. She has spent years on major stages, at Schauspielhaus Bochum and Schauspiel Frankfurt among others, and brings just as much experience to the microphone and the camera, including film acting studies at the Susan Batson Studio in New York. Her work has earned her the Bochumer Theaterpreis and four Theater Heute nominations for Nachwuchsschauspielerin des Jahres.

Sarah is remarkably versatile: people have failed to recognise her at her own premieres. Singing and dance are part of her toolkit, and she has worked both into her roles. She has also written and directed a children’s radio play. She speaks German and Luxembourgish natively, English very well, some French, and she can sail.

Her credo: acting is about making interesting decisions.
